My case seems complex or challenging…can you help me with my smile?
Over the past 30 years, while concentrating on cosmetic and adult rehabilitative dentistry, Dr. Freeman has not only taken an overabundance of training courses in this field of dentistry, but he has also been providing this kind of dentistry and teaching it to others. He is very passionate about approaching every case in a conservative and thoughtful manner for each individual rather than what’s more advantageous for the “business” of dentistry.
My previous dentist wanted to shave down my teeth but I heard there might be different options. Will my case qualify for something where my teeth won’t be cut into little stumps?
Dr. Freeman approaches every case in a way to prevent damage to as many or all of the teeth involved in each case. That does mean considering either minor orthodontic treatment with Invisalign or even traditional braces for some cases. This allows him to do “prep-less” dentistry where veneers can be bonded straight onto teeth without shaving them down. He has also been practicing bonded techniques with cosmetic materials since 1993 which allows him to sculpt materials right onto someone’s teeth without changing those teeth.
Will the procedure hurt or will I be sore?
Dentistry should not “hurt.” If any procedure is being done where anything might be sensitive, of course, an anesthetic is used. When the anesthetic wears off, the expectation is that you are comfortable. On some rare occasions, someone may have some sensitivity but with the techniques we use, that is a very rare occasion.
